Safe Operational Hourly Ride Capacity

Safe Operational Hourly Ride Capacity

A waterslide’s advertised capacity is not always what it can safely and consistently achieve. This session introduces Safe Operational Hourly Ride Capacity (SOHRC) and explains the difference between theoretical, operational and safe repeatable capacity. We will look at three areas that affect throughput: capacity targets, queues and performance; technical factors such as dispatch timing, ride clearance, tubes, conveyors, weighing and automation; and platform operations, including rider preparation, operator communication, supervision and dispatch discipline. Attendees will learn how to find the real bottleneck, set practical dispatch targets and improve throughput without compromising safety.
