FAQs

  • How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

Las Vegas is serviced by McCarran International Airport (LAS), which is located roughly 3.5 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. To get from the airport to Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, consider one of the following means of transportation:

SuperShuttle. SuperShuttle passengers share the ride with others going in their direction in comfortable blue vans. Advanced reservations and pre-payment for your LAS airport ride takes the time and hassle out of getting to and from the airport. Call +1-800-BLUE-VAN (+1-800-258-3826) or visit www.supershuttle.com to make a reservation.

LASxpress. LASxpress Airport Transportation Service provides cost effective Xpress direct nonstop service between McCarran International Airport and the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Advanced reservations are required and transfers may be easily booked in advance online at www.westgateairport.com or by calling LASxpress directly at +1-702-472-8688. Guests will receive boarding passes, eliminating the need to secure transportation onsite and avoiding long taxi lines.

Car rentals. The McCarran Rent-A-Car Center is located at 7135 Gilespie Street, just three miles from the airport with easy freeway access to Interstates 15 and 215 and the Las Vegas Strip.  The Center is open 24 hours and features state-of-the art customer service facilities.

Taxis. At Terminal 1, taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1–4. At Terminal 3, taxis are conveniently located outside on Level Zero.  Airport personnel are available to assist as needed.  The average taxi price to the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is $24.

Uber & Lyft. Both services are available at McCarren International Airport by using the respective app to find a nearby driver. In Terminal 1, the Ride Share pick up is located on level 2M of the parking garage. In Terminal 3, the Ride Share pick up is located on the Valet level of the Terminal 3 parking garage.

  • Do you offer registration options not listed on the Registration page?

Yes, although we encourage as many attendees as possible to come experience everything that we offer at the WWA Show, we know that not everyone can come for the full four days of the show. Hence, we do offer options which enable someone to walk the trade show floor only or attend the full show for just one day.

For more information on pricing and benefits of these additional registration options, please call the WWA Office at +1-913-599-0300 anytime between 9 am CST to 5 pm CST.

Or come see us onsite at the WWA Registration Desk at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino’s convention center starting at 7:30 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

    Wednesday, October 24, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The physical address for the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is 3000 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

  • How might I obtain a receipt for my online registration?

If you registered online, you should have received a confirmation email to the address provided within a few minutes of completing your registration. This email contains a link that will take you back to your registration completion screen where a print icon button is located in the upper right area. If this printable receipt does not meet your needs or you are unable to locate the email, please contact Cathy Haggarty at cathy@waterparks.org for a duplicate receipt.

If you registered by phone, fax or mail, please contact Cathy Haggarty at cathy@waterparks.org for a duplicate receipt.

  • Why should I pre-register?

We highly recommend that you take the time to register today for two reasons.

One, by pre-registering, you’ll save yourself a lot of time when checking in for the WWA Show. All pre-registered attendees have a name badge and a bag of convention materials ready and waiting for them at the WWA Registration Desk located in the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino’s convention center. Most pre-con workshops and courses start at 9 am on October 23rd and 8:45 am on the rest of the days, so you’ll give yourself a little extra time on the first day if you can walk up and collect your convention materials before going into your first workshop or class.

Second, we offer substantial pricing discounts for registering before the WWA Show officially begins. We will offer an advanced price on our Symposium Package, which expires on October 19, 2018. Pricing will also go up onsite, so registering before the show is just the right business decision.

  • May I bring a spouse or my family to the WWA Show?

Yes, we offer a Spouse/Companion Package for $129 for non-industry employed spouses or significant others. This package includes access to the 2-day trade show, one buffet lunch on the day of your choice on the show floor, the Opening General Session and the Annual Reunion Party at Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas. If you are planning to bring children under the age of 18, you may purchase a general package for $19. This package includes access to the 2-day trade show and the Annual Reunion Party at Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas.

The Child Package option is not available online and can only be purchased by calling the WWA Office at +1-913-599-0300.

  • I am not a WWA member. Can I attend the show?

Yes, absolutely. Of course, we encourage anyone registering for the WWA Show to consider becoming a member because our year-long member benefits are great and we offer a substantial discount on our Symposium Package registration to our members. Also, membership covers the park facility, so joining the WWA will enable you and all your employees to register at the member rate.

  • Is any transportation provided to events? Where do I go?

We will provide shuttle transportation to and from the Annual Golf Tournament and the Annual Reunion Party at Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas.

For the Annual Golf Tournament the shuttle will pick up at the East Entrance of the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino at 6:20 a.m. Look for signage that references Ride Share Pick Up. The shuttle bus will depart promptly at 6:30 a.m., so please plan to be waiting for the bus at that time.

For the Annual Reunion Party at Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas shuttles will begin departing for the park at 7:15 p.m. and will run continuously between the waterpark and the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino until the end of the event.

  • I am a speaker. Where do I go and pick up my credentials?

We appreciate how hard our speakers work to get ready for the WWA Show and for their presentations, so we’ve set aside a special Speakers’ Lounge just for your use during the WWA Show. Simply report to Conference Room 1 on the first floor in the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino’s convention center to sign-in, pick up your name badge, manual and other show materials. This space will also have a copy machine for last-minute handouts and a computer to make final changes to a presentation.

  • What is the dress code at the WWA Show?

Wear what makes you happy. Within reason, of course. In a more serious answer, we recommend you dress for comfort when attending the educational sessions or walking the trade show floor, especially in the shoe department. Classrooms can be cool, so bring a sweater or a light jacket.

For evening events, feel free to dress it up a bit if you like — it is Vegas after all. The average temperatures in Las Vegas in October are 54 degrees as the average low and 82 degrees as the average high. Remember, that the Annual Reunion Party will be outdoors, so plan to have a jacket to put on as the  temperatures might drop a bit throughout the evening.

  • Can I register onsite?

Yes, absolutely. We will process your registration onsite at the WWA Registration Desk in the foyer area in the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino’s convention center starting Oct. 23rd.

We encourage you to register online now and leading up to the start of the show, as prices for the Symposium Package go up $50 onsite. Online registration will remain open through Monday, October 22nd mid-day.

  • What are the benefits of joining the WWA as a supplier member?

  • What are the benefits of joining the WWA as a developer or park owner/operator?

If you are not currently a park member, now is a good time to join the World Waterpark Association. Members receive a substantial price break on registration for the Symposium Package. Park membership costs are as follows:

    • $419 for developers
    • $419 for parks with annual attendance less than 250,000
    • $629 for parks with annual attendance of 250,000 or more

Membership covers all employees at the facility and all attendees will be eligible for the reduced member registration rates.

Got questions? Email Aleatha Ezra at aezra@waterparks to learn more about park membership.

  • When and where can I pick-up my registration materials?

All registration materials including your name badge, convention manual and other materials may be picked-up onsite at the WWA Registration Desk located in main foyer area in the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino’s convention center. Look for signage for the convention center once you enter the lobby of the Westgate.

The WWA Registration Area will be open during the following hours:

    Tuesday, October 23, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Wednesday, October 24, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

    Thursday, October 25, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • What is your refund policy?

We will work with you to accommodate most refund requests on Symposium Package registrations. In most cases, we are able to offer a full refund in the form of original payment leading up to the WWA Show and after its conclusion. Once we are within 10 days of the start of the show, we reserve the right to hold all refunds until the show has concluded. All refund requests should be be sent via email to Cathy Haggarty at cathy@waterparks.org. Please submit the following information: Name(s) of individuals being refunded, company/park name and date of registration.
