Scott Silar has over 25 years of hospitality experience in the amusement industry. He is currently the Manager of Attractions at Hersheypark, where he oversees the management of over 1,200 Attraction Operators and Lifeguards, and the ongoing safe operation of over 70 attractions. Silar sits on the WWA Waterpark Resort Operations Committee and is the 1st Vice President and on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Amusement Parks & Attractions and serves on its Waterpark Committee. As well he is on the Education Committee of the National Assoc. of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO), and is on ASTM’s F24 committee for Amusement Rides and Devices. Silar is a Jeff Ellis & Assoc. Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, and is certified as an EMT, Pennsylvania State Ride Inspector II, Certified Pool Operator, Aquatic Facility Operator, and National Weather Service SkyWarn Certified Storm Spotter. He is on the Steering Committee for Junior Achievement of Central Pennsylvania and in his spare time devotes time to Project Fellowship with the Milton Hershey School as well as the Boy Scouts of America.
