Kathleen Wright

Since July 2016, Kathleen Wright has been serving as the Administrator for the Partners in Education program at Orange County Public Schools. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in education and Indiana Wesleyan University earned a master’s degree in curriculum. She has been a classroom teacher in Florida and Kentucky for 15 years; in Title I schools. In her current position, she conducts annually updated training for more than 400 coordinators for OCPS school sites & departments. She is also in responsible for a number of district-wide initiatives, such as the Charity Recycling Program and Sonny’s Random Acts of BBQ—School Edition, which went across the country a few years ago. Wright oversees major corporate charity efforts like Trend Micro and CFHLA school initiatives. In January 2020, Wright was named President of the Florida Association for Partners in Education, a role she would hold until the summer of 2022. The non-profit Foundation for OCPS became a one-stop shop for charitable development and ideas for assisting Orange County Public Schools in 2017 when the Partners in Education program was integrated into it.
