John Roche

John Roche currently serves as the Assistant Director/Aquatics Director for East Brunswick Recreation & Parks. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Crystal Springs Family Waterpark in addition to aiding the planning and execution of various recreation programs and special events. He has over two decades of experience in the aquatics industry. He volunteers his time as the Vice Chair of the World Waterpark Association’s Public Sector Committee and is currently the Secretary of the New Jersey Recreation & Parks Association. Roche was the 2024 recipient of the New Jersey Recreation & Parks Association Professional of the Year award as well as the 2024 World Waterpark Association’s Kelly Ogle Memorial Safety Award and Best Speaker Award. Prior to joining the EB Recreation and Parks Department full-time, Roche worked as a high school teacher for ten years.
