Joe Schaefer

Joe Schaefer holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Central Florida and possesses an insatiable hunger for understanding how things work. His sharp comprehension of the tools at his fingertips enables him to apply the necessary technical problem-solving skills in the cutting-edge design and development of state-of-the-art theme parks. He began his career at Falcon’s Creative Group in 2013, working as a technical integration manager on a wide variety of themed experience projects such as IMG Worlds of Adventure, Heroes and Legends at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and Katmandu Park Punta Cana. Schaefer was promoted to vice president of technical design in 2024, taking on a key leadership role for Dragon Ball Theme Park. Now as executive vice president of development, he leads the design department in developing and realizing the creative intent envisioned for each project. Coordinating with A/V, SFX, lighting, ride, and specialty vendors, he ensures the facets of each experience seamlessly mesh into a single cohesive and enveloping guest experience.
