Jayce Diaz is the current Wellness and Aquatics Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Cullman Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism in Alabama. He grew up just 2 hours away from the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, which helped to fuel his desire to move into the Aquatics world. Starting as a lifeguard in Wisconsin, Diaz quickly grew into a role as an Aquatics Supervisor at Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort, where he assisted in supervising 8 separate waterparks on property. He then moved into the commercial pool management world, working for the Pool Management Group for 8 years wearing many different hats. He gained experience in directing the training programs of lifeguards and managers, facilitating the commercial service management of facilities, and serving as a lead in repair and maintenance projects. He has maintained his American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor for 10 years, as well as his Lifeguarding Instructor Trainer certifications for 6 years. He has also obtained certifications in Basic LIfe Support Instructor, Emergency Medical Responder, and Certified Pool Operator. Diaz has over 1000 lifeguards certified under his training programs, and continually assists fellow instructors and training providers to maintain a high grade training regime.
