Cheryl Salazar brings nearly 20 years of experience in municipal and waterpark operations, with a passion for practical solutions that make life easier for managers. Her career has spanned aquatics, guest services, maintenance, marketing, events, nonprofit leadership, and tech innovation—all with a hands-on, systems-savvy approach. She played key roles in the opening and operation of The Cove and DropZone waterparks and has led teams through every phase of seasonal and year-round operations.
Now, as Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of High Road Management Training, Cheryl equips industry professionals to lead with clarity, confidence, and creativity—even on a tight budget. She currently serves on WWA’s Technology & Innovation Committee, helping bring smart, accessible tech ideas to the forefront for parks of all sizes.
Cheryl holds a Master’s in Public Administration and is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional. Off the clock, she’s a certified fascia release and Reiki practitioner who loves disc golf, hiking, and surfing California’s coastline.
