Billy Hamilton

Billy Hamilton brings more than 50 years of experience in the pool, spa, and waterpark industry, including 42 years at two of the nation’s most iconic and heavily attended waterparks. Hamilton spent 36 years at Wet ’n Wild Orlando, serving as Water Quality and Attractions Manager. In this role, he was responsible for the operation and water quality of the park’s pools and lake and played an integral role in the development, design, maintenance, and operation of new rides and attractions. Following his career at Wet ’n Wild, Hamilton spent an additional six years at Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay as an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Water Quality Supervisor, continuing his commitment to exceptional water quality, operational safety, and industry best practices. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO®) Instructor, Hamilton is passionate about sharing the knowledge and practical experience gained throughout his career. His teaching style combines technical expertise with real-world experience, helping aquatic professionals understand not only what to do, but why it matters. Hamilton has presented at numerous industry conferences and educational programs, including the World Waterpark Association (WWA), the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the Amusement Industry Manufacturers & Suppliers Association (AIMS), and the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO). His presentations have covered topics including water quality, aquatic attraction maintenance, repair, safety, and operations. Hamilton has also served on the WWA Board of Directors, received the WWA Executive Board Award in 2014, and was inducted into the WWA Hall of Fame in 2022 in recognition of his contributions to the waterpark industry. Water is more than a career for Hamilton—it is a lifelong passion. Away from the industry, he is an avid offshore fisherman and enjoys scuba diving. He resides in Titusville, Florida, and continues to share his decades of experience with the next generation of aquatic professionals.
