Alex Baird started Beacon because of one simple idea: the first thing a guest experiences at an attraction is the parking lot. That first moment sets the mood for the whole day. As Founder and CEO, he built Beacon to make parking feel like the start of something fun, not just a chore. Beacon gives guests rewards for coming back, handles rule-breakers in a friendly way, and needs no construction and a fraction of the staff traditional parking systems require. Baird works closely with park leadership so parking matches the fun and magic guests already love once they walk through the gates. Before starting Beacon, he was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. Messy, crowded parking on military bases is what first got him thinking about fixing the way people arrive.
