Jenna Jacobs

Jenna Jacobs, AqP, is the current Aquatics Superintendent with the City of Baytown, Texas, where she oversees two waterparks for the city–Calypso Cove and Pirates Bay Waterpark. These two facilities combined span across more than 4 acres and require more than 400 team members to operate popular attractions such as slides, a lazy river, wave pool, FlowRider®, and the first ever NINJACROSS system in North America. During her off-season, she and her team run an ice rink for the city in Historic Downtown Baytown. Jacobs has spent the last 21 years in aquatics in various positions starting at 15 years old when she officially became a lifeguard to emulate her older brother. She went on to accumulate more experience in positions such as swim instructor, USA swim coach, collegiate swimmer, waterfront director, aquatics program coordinator, and her current position of Aquatics Superintendent. Over the years, she and her teams have won numerous awards such as the WWA’s Leading Edge Award, Waterpark of the Year in Texas, Special Event of the year, and several other regional and state awards. She attributes her success in aquatics to her family who introduced her to water before she could walk, took her to swim competitions at an early age, and continue to support her life-long passion. Every day, she is dedicated to keeping her waterpark team and guests safe so that she can pass on the life-long love of water to future generations.
