Scott Silar

Scott Silar has over 25 years of hospitality experience in the amusement industry. He is currently the Director of Attractions at Hersheypark, where he oversees the management of over 1,200 Attraction Operators and Lifeguards, and the ongoing safe operation of over 70 attractions, including seasonal holiday themed offerings. Silar is Vice Chair of the Resort Operations Committee of the World Waterpark Association and serves on its Leadership Council. He is also the Past President and on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Amusement Parks & Attractions and serves on its Waterpark Committee. As well he is on ASTM’s F24 committee for Amusement Rides and Devices. Silar is a Senior Associate with Jeff Ellis & Associates, and is certified as an EMT, Pennsylvania State Ride Inspector II, Certified Pool Operator, Aquatic Facility Operator, National Weather Service SkyWarn Certified Storm Spotter, and holds various certifications from AIMS and NAARSO . At the 2025 World Waterpark Association tradeshow, Silar was presented with the WWA’s Executive Board Award. In his spare time he devotes time to Project Fellowship with the Milton Hershey School as well as the Boy Scouts of America.
