Ron Hood

Ron Hood served in the US Army for 22 years and retired and began his second career at Walt Disney World as a lifeguard at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. He has held roles of increasing responsibility throughout resorts and waterparks and miniature golf, including a temporary assignment opening the recreation areas of Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa located in Hawaii. His other key roles were as the Operations Manager of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Operations Manager of Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Operations Manager for Disney’s Miniature Golf. His role before retiring was Senior Duty and Project Manager for Disney’s Water Parks, Miniature Golf. In this role he was able to work closely with maintenance and refurbishment leaders on planning and executing the annual parks refurbishment and to help bring Miss Adventure Falls attraction to the park. Hood retired this summer, but is still serving on the WWA’s Safety Committee.
