Phil Baum

Phil Baum’s journey in hospitality began in high school as a lifeguard at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, where his passion for creating safe, memorable guest experiences first took shape. Over the past 25+ years, he has grown through a variety of resort and waterpark leadership roles to become the Hotels & Resorts Line of Business Manager for Recreation at Walt Disney World. Today, he supports 23 resort recreation teams, leading the design and delivery of premium recreational guest experiences—from themed activities and signature spa services to innovative family wellness programs. In addition to his 25 year Disney career, Baum served as Senior Operations Manager for AdventHealth, where he oversaw operations for a large medically based fitness center and day spa, leading a million dollar renovation and creating new partnerships to drive revenue. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Stetson University. With a career built on collaboration, innovation, and storytelling, Baum continues to push the boundaries of what resort recreation can be while creating immersive experiences that keep families coming back year after year.
