After earning her degree in Parks and Recreation from Missouri State University, Renee Reis launched her career as a manager on the opening team at the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City and quickly moving into the Director role. She later moved on to managing operations at the Matt Ross Community Center in Overland Park as the Community Center Supervisor. Reis missed her aquatics roots and jumped on an opportunity to move into the Aquatics Supervisor role at the City of Overland Park overseeing the city’s six outdoor pools and indoor facility. In 2023, she became Park and Recreation Supervisor for the City of Fairway, Kansas, where she promotes a culture of fun, hard work, and work-life balance. Outside the office, she stays busy with her teenage children, co-runs a swim lesson business with her sister, and enjoys true crime podcasts and reading.
