Walter Teem is a 43-year veteran of the theme park/waterpark business, having started at Six Flags at the age of 16. He spent the next 30 years working at various Six Flags parks (Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles.) He later spent time at Alabama Adventure near Birmingham and after a few years as an industry consultant he returned to the parks at Schlitterbahn in Galveston in 2015. Teem joined Typhoon Texas Waterpark in Houston, Texas in 2016 as the Revenue Director, where he oversaw Food & Beverage, Retail, Rentals, Front Gate and Group Sales. In November of 2021, Typhoon Texas branched out to include waterparks in Las Vegas, Nevada. Teem was named to the newly created position of Senior Director of Revenue Operations for the company’s parks in Texas and Las Vegas. Teem received his BS in Hospitality Management from Georgia State University and is a member of the IAAPA Food & Beverage Committee.
