As an experienced marketing and communications professional, creative marketer and natural storyteller by nature, Matt Ratliff loves nothing more than telling a story through a brand. After more than a decade working in professional sports (with the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers organizations), Ratliff traded the ballparks for theme parks and waterparks. After previously leading the marketing efforts for Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resort, Ratliff currently serves as Vice President, Marketing for SeaWorld San Antonio and Aquatica San Antonio, leading the parks’ overall strategic marketing vision including advertising, communications, sales, partnerships and outreach. Throughout his career, Ratliff has remained driven by the unique opportunity that very few industries offer – the chance, each and every day, to help make a life-long memory for a guest – be it their first ride on a thrilling coaster, splashing down an exhilarating waterslide or meeting a beluga whale up-close. In addition to his time at SeaWorld and Aquatica, Ratliff serves on the board for the San Antonio Visitor’s Alliance and on Visit San Antonio’s Attractions Committee. Most importantly, Ratliff is a father to 3 incredible kiddos and husband to his beautiful wife, Katy. In his free-time you can often find him splashing with his family in Aquatica or visiting the amazing animals at SeaWorld.
