Alex Novas joined the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 1991 as a Compliance Officer in the Baton Rouge Area Office. After serving as an Assistant Area Director, he became a Compliance Assistance Specialist in 2007. His duties include administering the Alliance and Strategic Partnership cooperative programs, while also overseeing and conducting site evaluations for the Voluntary Protection Program. In addition, he travels throughout Louisiana, providing outreach and information to encourage voluntary compliance with OSHA’s safety and health standards. Alex is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a graduate of Louisiana State University.
