A Day In The Life Of A Waterpark Operator

4:15pm to 5:00pm

EDT (GMT-4)

“Is there an audit today?” “Have you seen the guy with the camera?” “We have an AFR in the tot pool, be ready to clear the area.” “I have a guest complaint at my ride. Can someone help me explain why height requirements are important?” If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it 1,000 times; these phrases are commonplace in the wacky world of aquatics management and operations. In this discussion with waterpark operators from public and private parks, we are going to highlight the best of the best and the worst of the worst. Whether you’re here for horror stories, best practices or group therapy, this fun session will focus on a day in the life of a waterpark operator and all the unique things that we encounter every day. From AFRs to lifeguards to teenagers, we will touch on the hot topics in public and private facilities along with various design principles that can be followed to alleviate some of the stress for park operators.
